Claim To Fame:
My “claim to fame” in college is being known as someone who cares deeply about mental health and is always willing to listen. As a psychology major and sociology minor, I have made it a priority to create meaningful connections with my peers and to encourage open conversations about stress, balance, and self-care. I may not be the loudest voice in the room, but people know they can come to me when they need support or just someone to talk to. I take pride in being that person because it reflects both my passion for helping others and my future goal of becoming a therapist. Every time I offer encouragement or connect someone to resources, I see it as practice for the kind of impact I want to make professionally. My claim to fame is simple but powerful: being a student who uplifts others, spreads positivity, and reminds people that they are not alone in their journey.
Most Memorable Moment:
One of my most memorable college moments was during Welcome Week. It was my first time fully stepping onto campus and experiencing the energy, excitement, and sense of community that Howard offers. I met so many new people, explored different student organizations, and felt an immediate connection to the campus culture. That week helped me realize that college is not just about academics, but also about building relationships, discovering my interests, and finding my place in a supportive community. It was a moment that made me feel excited and confident about the journey ahead.
