About   (request update)
I am a student at Howard University majoring in Political Science with plans to transition into Finance. Attending an HBCU has given me the chance to grow academically while also surrounding myself with a community that values leadership, resilience, and breaking barriers. On campus, I have taken on leadership roles such as serving as Bethune Annex Council President and being active in the West African Sahelian Student Association. I also serve on the Events Committee for P.R.E.T.T.Y. Period, a non-selective sisterhood-based organization focused on service and empowerment. These experiences have allowed me to build strong skills in event planning, budgeting, fundraising, and public speaking while also teaching me how to work with teams, lead with confidence, and create spaces where others.

Claim To Fame:
My “claim to fame” in college has been stepping into leadership roles early on and creating spaces for others to shine. From serving as Bethune Annex Council President to being active in WASSA and other organizations, I’ve made it a point to not just participate, but to lead events, manage budgets, and bring people together. People know me as someone who takes initiative, whether it’s planning a multicultural fashion show, organizing community-building events, or finding ways to make sure everyone feels included. What I’m most proud of is that I went from being nervous to speak up at the start of my freshman year to now being the person people look to when it’s time to get things done.
Most Memorable Moment:
One of my most memorable college moments was the day I realized I no longer felt like I had imposter syndrome. Coming into college, I often questioned whether I truly belonged, especially as I was still figuring out my path and comparing myself to others who seemed more prepared. Over time, through leadership opportunities, supportive professors, and a strong community at my HBCU, I began to trust my abilities and see the value I bring. The moment I could confidently walk into a room, speak up, and know that I deserved to be there was unforgettable. It wasn’t just about overcoming self-doubt — it was about stepping fully into who I am and who I’m becoming.
