I am a psychology major at North Carolina Central University with a passion for mental health advocacy, especially within the justice system and among youth affected by it. I am also pursuing a second major in social work to strengthen my impact. I have five years of experience working with children at a summer camp, which has helped me develop strong skills in patience, communication, and youth support. My role in SEAL has given me experience in event planning, campus programming, and student leadership. I hope to build a career focused on supporting underserved communities, expanding mental health access, and breaking systemic barriers.
Current Whereabouts:
I want to continue gaining more experience in my field, especially in work that supports children and mental health. I’ve been actively exploring opportunities to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) because it would help me build stronger skills working with children who need behavioral and emotional support. This experience will prepare me for my long-term goal of advocating for mental health access within underserved communities and the justice system.
