Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame in college is my ability to balance being a student-athlete, an advocate, and a future healthcare professional while staying committed to my goals. Through athletics, I have built discipline, resilience, and teamwork qualities that have shaped who I am both on and off the field. Beyond sports, working as a summer camp advocate allowed me to make a positive impact by supporting and encouraging children with diverse needs, which strengthened my passion for helping others. What makes my journey unique is overcoming challenges while staying focused on my purpose. Transferring to an HBCU gave me a renewed sense of belonging and motivation, allowing me to grow academically and personally. My experiences have prepared me to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy, where I hope to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Most Memorable Moment:
Some of my favorite college moments have been the simple but unforgettable experiences shared with my teammates and friends. As a student-athlete, road trips have created some of the best memories, whether it was traveling for games, laughing the entire ride, or even being stuck on the side of the road and making the best out of an unexpected situation. Those moments taught me that sometimes the challenges become the funniest and most memorable parts of the journey. Another favorite memory was our team bonding cooking night, where we came together outside of sports to relax, connect, and enjoy each other’s company. It reminded me how important teamwork and relationships are beyond competition. I also cherish the late night finals study sessions with friends, pushing through exhaustion together, motivating each other, and celebrating when we made it through. These moments have shown me that college is not just about academics or athletics—it’s about the people, the experiences, and the memories that shape you along the way.
