Dr. Eaglin is a nationally recognized leader in AI and computer science education with more than 35 years of experience shaping opportunities for students and educators from underrepresented communities. As founder and CEO of Changing Expectations, he leads an Austin-based nonprofit whose programs have reached over 50,000 Black and Hispanic youth and adults through STEM, computing, and AI workforce development.

Responsible AI integration in higher education is no longer a future-facing conversation. It is an institutional leadership priority. At HBCUs, the challenge is especially urgent: how do we support AI innovation while preserving academic integrity, equity, faculty agency, and institutional values? Changing Expectations is partnering with Jackson State University to advance a faculty-centered AI Teaching Excellence initiative focused on: � Responsible AI governance and transparent oversight � Student-centered instructional design � Academic integrity beyond surveillance � Equity in AI policy and enforcement � Faculty-as-Champions leadership development � Department-level norm setting and governance alignment This work positions faculty not as passive adopters of AI, but as strategic leaders shaping how AI is used in teaching, assessment, and institutional policy. Responsible AI integration must preserve human judgment, academic freedom, and institutional values. Changing Expectations is offering strategic consulting engagements for HBCUs, including faculty development workshops, AI leadership cohorts, executive briefings, department chair strategy sessions, and policy alignment support.
