I have several years of experience working in the emergency room at University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, where I have developed strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills. Working in a fast-paced environment has taught me how to remain calm under pressure and provide compassionate support to patients and families during difficult times. As a mother of three, I have also gained resilience, leadership, and time management skills while balancing work, family, and school. My experiences have inspired me to pursue my goal of becoming an ER nurse so I can continue serving others and making a positive impact in my community.

Current Whereabouts:

Currently living in Lexington and entering my 3rd semester of nursing school while continuing to grow my knowledge, clinical skills, and hands-on experience in patient care. Working in the Emergency Department as a Nursing Care Technician, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting while strengthening my leadership, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills. Focused on advancing in the healthcare field, completing my nursing degree, and building a successful career dedicated to compassionate, high-quality care.

My life and professional aspirations are to continue growing in the healthcare field while making a positive impact on the lives of others through compassionate, patient-centered care. As a mother of three children and someone who works in the ER at University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, I have learned the importance of resilience, time management, and dedication. Despite the challenges of balancing work, family, and school, I remain committed to furthering my education and pursuing my dream of becoming an ER nurse. My life experience, strong work ethic, and passion for helping others set me apart. I bring maturity, compassion, and real-world healthcare experience into the classroom, which allows me to connect deeply with my goals and the people around me. My story reflects perseverance and determination, and I hope to inspire others by showing that it is never too late to continue your education and work toward your dreams.

Most Memorable Moment:

One of my most memorable college moments has been balancing my roles as a mother of three, an ER employee at University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, and a student while continuing to pursue my dream of becoming an ER nurse. Although the journey has not always been easy, every accomplishment�whether passing an exam, completing a difficult assignment, or successfully managing my responsibilities, has been meaningful to me. Another memorable part of my college experience has been connecting with classmates and instructors who encourage and motivate me to keep going. Being able to continue my education while setting an example for my children has been one of my greatest achievements. These experiences have taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of never giving up on my goals, no matter the obstacles.
