I'm just a city boy from Inglewood California, trying to make it happen in my little world of Grambling State University. So long as the Lord is with me, my current whereabouts is fresh where I'm at!
"EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!"
I'm a "paper-boy." A real, true to life, newspaper boy, and I love it.
"The Gramblinite" is the paper I write, shoot photos, and design hot pages for. Aside from that, I pride myself in being a true Hip-Hopper. Currently I'm working really hard to ensure that I land a job doing graphics or feature page design in a professional newsroom. That’s a solid short -term goal that has been 90% accomplished. I'm interning at The Baltimore Sun this summer... Can't wait! All glory be to God, I thank the Lord for his help through the way!
After College: I dream so big that it seems it can't all fit in there sometimes. I dream larger than life, real dreams, seeing myself doing the things I'm dreaming of. Once I learned how to make short term dreams come to life, I saw that my long term dreams can come into fruition the same way. So, my dreams are my reality, and sometimes, I can't believe my future is so bright! I live a piece of it every day.
Most Memorable Moment:
Is my biggest accomplishment the first time I did a really nice Editorial and received much praise from peers and change from the people around me? Is it being selected as one of 30 of the "best and brightest black college jornalists in the country" to go to "The New York Times Student Journalism Institute 2004" and do some outstanding work while there? Maybe its getting the next big internship at the Baltimore Sun? Who knows... I'm just living to do it bigger than yesterday.
My fondest memories are of those people (black people) that have impacted my life while in college. From jerk-off thuggs who show me our state and what not to be, furthermore, who I need to help when I make it to the top, to the teachers who work on the front lines like soldiers, doing real teaching, challanging me, and literaly feeding my brain with knowledge that I need. My friends, collegues, and aquaintences all serve as memerable to my black college experience.
