I almost can't really blame them! Athletic trainers get it really quickly , as they really know moreso than coaches , managers , athletes and parents what elevated microcirculation does...as no other device that calls themselves competition to us. I do have another interest that would of particular interest to those who know of others, family or otherwise who are in the autism spectrum. I am a Tomatis practitioner Level 2 and I work with a rather disruptive and gamechanging device that works wonders for those in the community to which I just referred. What it can affect profoundly is not limited to that community though. It is also groundbreaking in its affect on vocal range and register whether it's currently great or degrading. It came about via the work of renowned ENT Medical Doctor , Alfred Tomatis ot France in 50; 60's through about 2001. It covers far too much to explain in one sitting.As effective as it is, itis very scarce the world over, and particularly the United States. I urge you all to Google it at Tomatis.com and see for yourselves. You can thank me later....and you will! I'll say this much about it from personal and professional experience. I worked with my very young grandniece when she was 2 1/2 years old going on three who was non-verbal with social challenges. Upon exposure to it, she was speaking in complete sentences within 2 1/2 days. Nobody can promise these results with everybody, as that was very profound...and definitely unexpected even by myself. That was almost an absolute anomaly, but we can say that you get better than you had before, but how quickly can never be known. Every client is different as they bring different sensory challenges to the table. I worked with a young set of twins on the summer of the year they exited my special needs classroom, who were tantruming like nobody's business and quite a bit maladjusted. They were brought kicking and screaming to my classroom every day by both parents where they sat on the floor and rocked for a solid hour daily with some other intermittent challenging behaviors throughout the day. I really did not tell the parents of what I could do, as I had to get to know them better before so doing. We dealt with all of the challenging behaviors for 2 1/2 years until they exited into a regular classroom.In that ensuing summer break I broke the news to the parents and invited them to go out and research the information and let me know what they thought. It did not take them very long to return to me to ask if I would help them. I agreed. Now their older brother , also a student at the school was exhibiting disruptive behaviors at home that I was not aware of. He was being very disrespctful to them in al manner of ways. I set up a Tomatis Program for all three of them plus an autistic nephew which the mom agreed to supervise with my direction. This case took two applications each of 14 days with a brief 3 week intermission between them. The results were stunning, all of the tantruming subsided and they went on to become very productive students with that school community. As for the older brother, he became a model son while overcoming his own academic challenges. All of this this took much longer than the very first client...all free of charge. I actually wanted to prove this for myself. I never inquired as to the success of the autistic cousin, as he was not my particular focus. We generally like to do three sessions of 14 days, but one of the parents with whom I was doing a therapy session accidentally damaged the equipment resulting in some costly repairs. I witheld the equipment from both of those sets of parents for the third session understandably, as it was the only equipment I had at the time. That particular student was actually in my classroom at the time, and he was also non-verbal...said nothing ...at first. Within 2 months of using the equipment as directed we started to get one word utterances, and by the 4th month he was speaking in complete sentences and asking questions. Again, nobody can promise this kind of turnaround to anybody, everybody's different. This therapy called "Listening Therapy" is widely available in Europe, but scarcely in the US....however growing at a less than steady pace. I found out about Tomatis in 2020 when we were summarily kicked out of the building to teach virtually. My students, except for three maybe four of twelve were not showing up on the screen, resulting in a lot of idle time for me. It was at this time that started reading the second in a series of book by Dr. Norman Doidge , The Brains Way of Healing. I had already read his first book,but was unaware that he'd authored yet another. I discovered Dr Alfred Tomatis, I think in chapter seven....and it has never been the same ever since then. Let me say that if you are seeking to strengthen your vocal rendering in any way shape or form, or if your child , niece, nephew is either struggling or doing well in school ...they can do much better even if they only use the device have them to use when they are in between 14 day sessions. This particular device though not as profound in what it can do as the TalkUP or signature device, can do with your/their voice almost as much. The TalksUp device is needed for those who are non-verbal, as it assists them in finding their actual voices. The intermediary device actually uses the found voice to further integrate the initial listening training by using their actual voice i.e. talking or singing into it and/or repeating things you say or sing to them. As an aside ...you'll find that my profile can be accurately written where my professional experience is concerned outside of what I'm currently doing , as not able to record any work experience beyond 1987.....I'm 74 years old , so I can't list any experience in the 60's and 70's . Life & Professional Aspirations:
While in retirement I have several other interests I'll be advancing, one of which will be to make the Tomatis Listening Training affordable to students free of charge via a 501 3 (c) yet to be established. The listening train is very expensive to deliver, though worth every bit of what's charged. What one practitioner charges may differ quite a bit from what another charges. Mostly Tomatis will license Teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and others who deliver services in a clinical fashion , as their are far more applications for its use that can be listed in a single sitting or writing. The interim equipment goes for around $300.00 plus taxes , shipping , and a 15 % tariff for imports out of France unless that tariff drops or rises.

Was responsible for collection and protection of customs duties and taxes derived from imports and exports into the country. Was also responsible for duties assigned at national ports of entry into the Bahamas archipelago of islands. These duties included inspection of baggage and cargo arriving as freight or personal and business effects. Responsible for assigning and collect the proper rate of taxes on the same as well as seizing any contraband as determined by Customs regulations. If assigned to cruise ships and after hours air and sea traffic, responsible for inspection of cargo areas , airway and bills of lading on taxible landed goods. Also responsible for seizure of all manner of goods deemed contraband, or goods landed without proper documentation. Landing of contraband, depending upon the circumstances may subject the traveler or transport officer or both to detainment until such time as resolved via the proper customs and or other pertinent . Seizable items may also include illicit drugs and any manner of firearms and bullets.
