Most Memorable Moment:
Graduation Ceremonies May 5th 1999. From Day one, through the matriculation at VUU the songs " It's so hard to be a Panther" and the alma matta; were sung. On graduation day it seemed like everyone in the rows looked around at each other with smiles and tears in their eyes; this moment stood still in time. At this moment, burning the midnight oil for the sake of excellence, broke pockets, being hungry and perseverance were well worth the effort. Now I understood what "It's so hard" and the Alma matta song meant to Alumni. On this day I made an entry into my legacy journal for my self and those to follow. This day I created options which depend on my future choices. Being apart of an HBCU is a unique experince with in itself that commands and demands that you take lemons and make lemonade; taking the bitter with the sweet. Thanks to my HIST./Education professors; Prof. king, Dr. Hylton,Dr. kleff, Dr. Nur, Dr. Greene, Mr. Johnson and many more.
