Claim To Fame:

During college, I became the mama on the 6th floor of my dormitory. My room was the counseling room, the store, the "spot" and everything else. My claim now would have to be me doing exactly what I dreamed of doing and that teaching at my former high school working with some of the most challenging group of young adults in Chicago. I feel that my experiences that I share with them will help to get them on the right track. As long as they can see that it can be done, the right path is there for them to follow, and they get on it, I will feel as if my job is done.

Most Memorable Moment:

My first day on the yard, I had never seen heat waves before and as I was walking up the hill past the library I saw some. I almost passed out. One reason was because I never saw them and another was because I was not sweating. I could not believe that I did not break a sweat and it was about 100 degrees!
