Where did you graduate from?
Current Whereabouts:
I am from Birmingham, Alabama and graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor of arts degree in Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting and a minor in Political Science. After I transferred from Miles College I led the reactivation of the NAACP Chapter at the school. I served as President of the Chapter from Fall 2003 until Summer 2006. Currently I am in attending Texas Southern University for grad school for my MA in Telecommunications. Most Memorable Moment:
When Baraka came to speak at an assembly at Miles College**When my WHITE PROFESSOR at HBCU Miles gave her lecture on the NAACP. I joined immediately following the lecture! **Singing at UAB Gospel Choir concert as lead singer and got hit by the spirit (SANG R.KELLY SONG "U SAVED ME")**Meeting Iyanla Vanzant. She encouraged me to keep going. **Speaking at my organization's VP's Memorial Service. It was a great moment for me. God gave me a word to speak in 15 minutes before I went to sleep the night before. It was based on "THE RACE" and "MARCHING" I weeped through the whole thing but it was a turning point for me.**Hearing Benjamin Hooks speak at the same NAACP Conference that my org. won the BEST COLLEGE CHAPTER IN THE SOUTH AWARD!..He spoke about telling the story of the movement to our generations**..and many many more moments to share...call me!..LOL

I just want to say that I feel that you are on the right track. I teach in Detroit and soo many of the generation cannot see what you see. I started off at a white college and realized that it was about my money and not my education.
