Claim To Fame:
Freshmen year I joined the marching band at Tuskegee University. I have to say that I never experienced anything like that before and I've learned a lot from that experience. I wouldn't change anything for the world though. A little about myself, I went to a magnet high school which i feel really prepared me for the academic part of college life. I think its very important to maintain decent grades in college and to network and get good interns because they not only expose u to fields u may be interested in but they may provide future jobs for u. When I graduate (spr 06) I want to go to do my graduate studies in immunopathology or oncology and received my phD. I love biomedial research and would like to come up with cures or preventive therapies or vaccines one day. I am really big on education and I think it is an important aspect of human life. I am apart of Mu Alpha Theta math honor society, Golden Key International Honor society, Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society, Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, and Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society. I also play the symbals in the marching crimson piper band
Most Memorable Moment:
I remember going to Cleveland, OH my sophmore year in the band for a football game against Hampton University. Being a little country girl, I was so excited to go to the city and to see the Cleveland Browns stadium. I remember when I first saw it, I was in awe. I called my mom and dad to tell them all about it. (kind of corny i know!) But I remember that the whole time we were there, the people of Cleveland really showed Tuskegee's band a lot of love. When we played, people listened w/ respect, they never tried to break our line (that's a no no if u're not in the band), little kids were asking us for autographs. It was great.
