Captain Elmore Patterson III earned his undergraduate degree from Savannah State University in the year 2000, and completed his Master’s Degree in Health Service Administration from Armstrong Atlantic State University in the year 2003 both in Savannah, Georgia. He is also a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives & Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

He was born in Savannah, Georgia

Following graduation from Armstrong Atlantic State University, Elmore was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves Medical Services Corps. After completing Officer Basic Course (OBC) at Ft. Sam Houston, TX in April 2004 he was assigned to U.S. Army Reserves 7233rd Medical Support Unit, Tuskegee, AL as a personnel officer.

Because of relocation to Mississippi, Elmore transferred Army Reserves units and joined the 1207th US Army Reserves Hospital Detachment 2, in Jackson, MS.

He was assigned as the personnel officer and was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on December 8, 2005.

In June of 2007, he completed the resident portion of Captain’s Career Course in Fort Sam Houston TX.

Elmore accepted an Active Duty position with the 307th Medical Group, Blacklick, OH July 17, 2007. He served as the Health Services Materiel Officer (S4) for the group. As the Accountable Officer for the group, he planned, directed and executed logistic support while ensuring the Command Supply Discipline Program was adhered to in all subordinate units in the Midwestern Region. As Property Book Officer, managed allocation and distribution of Class II budget totaling an excess of $1.5 million. Forecast financial requirements for stock funded requisitions and managed a Group Property Book in excess of $55 million.

Promoted to Captain 29 April 2009.

August 2, 2009 he accepted a position as Officer in Charge for the Columbus Medical Recruiting Station, Columbus, Ohio. He served as the OIC of a large recruiting station that provided precision medical recruiting for central Ohio canvasing four medical schools, seven universities and 25 hospitals recruiting for Medical Corps, Veterinary Corps, Dental Corps, Specialist Corps, Medical Service Corps, and the Army Nurse Corps which included the Army's Civilian Acquired Skills Program (ACASP) initiative for Licensed Practical Nurses (91C).

February 1, 2010 CPT Patterson accepted command of the Columbus Recruiting Company (acting), he relinquish command on 28 February 2010.

Currently, Mr. Patterson is the Chief Executive Officer at Greene County Hospital, Eutaw AL.
