What is your middle name?
"My middle name is Alphonso. Don't ever use it though. Once when I was about 13, I insisted that everyone call me Al. Never happened...LOL...but I tried. You have a lovely yet unusual name. Mine sharing how u got the name?"

Tell me something interesting that everyone should know about you?
"Hi, we went to VUU at the same time. I was supposed to graduate in '72 but dropped in '70. worked for a few years and returned to graduate in 1974. I was History-Gov. major and sang in the choir and starred in the choir musical in 1970, I think it was. Why were your extra-curriculas?"

Tell me something interesting that everyone should know about you?
"I am a VUU Alum and in many ways, VUU was instrumental in my development and maturation. It was there I gained a thrist for knowledge and a very inquisitive nature. Those early experiences have lasted all these years and have served me well for the majority of the time. Most recently, that curious has led me into the field of fashion photography. It's a field I have been interested in for some time. So, I've decided to give it a try. It won't satisfy my thirst for knowledge but no one thing ever will."

What do you say?
"I say hello fellow alum and congrats on being accepted to the Citadel. Don't believe I know anyone who has ever attended that university. I'm sure you will do quite well there. Now, your turn, what do you say?"

How do I know you, or why do you want to get to know me?
"We don't know each other...yet. I am a photographer and I spend my days peering at people and things. You have an interesting look...soulful. There is depth there and I would like to explore that to the extent you will allow me to. A good friendship is my goal. Is that possible?"

What are your interests?
"I have a number of interests includong: reading, writing, photography, business and cultural events. While I am involved in other pursuits, these I am passionate about."

What do you look for in a friend?
"Consistency - none of this friend today, foe tomorrow stuff. Mutual respect is the stuff of great frienships. By the way, that's a great picture. I especially like the pose."

Tell me something interesting that everyone should know about you?

What types of books do you like to read?
"I like to read mysteries that have to do with the legal system for fun. Serious reading includes books on photography, new computer applications, and business."

"Taking photos. Its one of the most stimulating activities I can think of and gives me the opportunity to connect with new and different people all the time."

Claim To Fame:
I am not famous either before, during or after college. I was a good student, choir member and thespian - that's actor y'all. College at an HBCU was enlightening, and a real blast. Wouldn't have traded it for money or fame. By the way, I'm also a Howard University Alum - Go Bisons!
Most Memorable Moment:
There were a number of professors who were instrumental in helping me to navigate my way thru college. Among them were: Dr. Adolph Grundman, Odell Hobbs, Levy Armwood, Pearl Mankins, Franklin Gayles and many more.

I got A's in all my classes for the most part. But my parents and school teachers were always on me about pronouncing my words correctly in an effort to prepare me for the corporate world. I smiled and said okay but ebonics is my FIRST language (LOL)!
