Claim To Fame:

Being a proud Same Gender Loving Black man. I use Same Gender Loving, or SGL, rather than "gay" because, as a black man, I really don't identify with the white dominated ideas and culture the "gay" community espouses.

Most Memorable Moment:

Being accepted after coming out in my application, and learning that some of the greatest black intellectuals in HBCU and American history, like Zora Neale Hurston, Lorraine Hansberry, Alain Locke, Bruce Nugent, Langston Hughes, Bayard Rustin, and James Baldwin were also Same Gender Loving People. It was their proud legacy that taught me that those that judge don't matter, and those that matter don't judge.
