About   (request update)
Rodney “Binx” Watts, the son of the late Judge Robert B. Watts, also a Morgan State graduate, has been an attorney in Maryland and California for more than 38 years, specializing in civil litigation, and corporate, business and entertainment law. He has played competitive golf for nearly 50 years. After becoming a golf professional in 1995, he traveled throughout the country for a year playing in professional golf tournaments on the Senior PGA TOUR, the Senior Series Tour, Golden State Tour, and various PGA TOUR events. He was the Assistant Golf Professional for 6 1/2 years at Pine Ridge Golf Course in Lutherville, Maryland where he annually conducted more than two hundred tournaments and outings, assisted the Head Professional in managing the golf shop and supervising the staff, and helped to develop a junior golf program that served hundreds of youth each year. He is currently the Head Golf Professional at the Marlton Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where he manages the golf shop, runs dozens of tournaments, and does a brisk lesson business with junior golf camps, adult clinics, and individual and group lessons. Binx is affiliated with the PGA of America, and is an exceptional player and gifted instructor. He is a founding member of TeeMac Golf, LLC:
TEE MAC GOLF, LLC CORPORATE PROFILE

Tee Mac Golf, LLC was formed by three African-American golf professionals who were members of Morgan State University's 1967 CIAA Championship Golf Team, and who have played the game collectively for more than 150 years, and in several thousand golf tournaments and events. Our mission is the utilization of our diverse talents to educate and develop youth in life skills through the game of golf; to diagnose and repair dis-eased golf swings through clinics, seminars, team-building, corporate golf, individual and group lessons, exhibitions, videos and public speaking/relations; and to provide tournament organizing services, fund-raising, and networking to businesses, and to non-profit and religious organizations. We are most proud of founding the not-for-profit Park Heights Community Golf Range, Inc., an urban family sports complex in Baltimore, Maryland, with the goal of exposing minority youth, and providing them with local access, to the games of golf and tennis, as well as basketball, and to teach them the entrepreneurial skills to operate and manage the facility. We helped raise over a million dollars in public and private funds and opened two new tennis courts, two new basketball courts, and a tot play lot in 2005, with the golf range and golf shop soon to be constructed.

We have given golf instruction, clinics, seminars and exhibitions to many hundreds of students regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity. We are each members of Morgan State University's Varsity "M" Hall of Fame, recipients of Maryland Governor Robert Ehrlich's (inaugural) 2006 Living Legends of Sports Award, members of Morgan State's Alumni Golf Committee, members of Walter Reed Army Medical Center's Planning and Organizing Committee for the 2006 In Honor of Our Troops Golf Tournament and Clinic (to raise funds for wounded and disabled war veterans and their families), and golf tournament consultants to dozens of organizations, including The Reginald F. Lewis African-American Museum of Maryland Legacy Council, the YMCA-Druid Hill Avenue Branch, the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum, Aunt Hattie’s Place, Inc., and The Park Heights Community Golf Range and Family Sports Complex (as Founders and Board members, and as organizers of annual free golf, tennis and basketball clinics and exhibitions for the neighborhood youth for the past 9 years).
