About   (request update)
Lady Peachena (Lena Eure)

Short Bio

Gifted Gospel Diva & Grammy-nominated songwriter, Lady Peachena, wrote the smash-hit song, “Dancing in The Spirit,” recorded by the late Ron Winans & his Family & Friends Choir in 1988 with Bishop Marvin Winans singing lead. And the next year “Dancing in The Spirit,” was nominated for a Grammy in 1989.

Always a trend-setter, Lady Peachena was one of the first promoters to inaugurate Gospel Brunches when she produced & hosted GOSPEL AT THE GATE, a series of successful Sunday Gospel Brunches at the landmark Village Gate in NYC in ‘88.

Lady Peachena’s the playwright of the riveting show, “THE GREAT DIVAS OF GOSPEL,” which salutes the Queens of Gospel: The Clara Ward Singers, The Famous Davis Sisters, The Sallie Martin Singers, Marion Williams, The Roberta Martin Singers, Mahalia Jackson, and others. This electrifying show’s been touring the U.S.A. for the past 22 years to rave reviews. Recently, the exciting cast filmed 8 episodes of the show, and they hope to sign with a major TV network soon.

In ‘95, Lady Peachena organized a choir of gospel singers for CBS TV’s popular “LATE SHOW With DAVID LETTERMAN,” dubbing them THE LATE SHOW’S GOSPEL CHOIR. Since then Lady Peachena & the LSG Choir has performed on “THE LATE SHOW,” over a 14 times. In ‘98, THE LATE SHOW’S GOSPEL CHOIR filmed their first national TV commercial singing, “Oh Happy Day!” for Crest’s Toothpaste Pump.

In 2010, members of the choir were featured on Showtime TV’s “THE BIG C.” Lady Peachena not only directed the choir, but got a chance to sing her Grammy-nominated song, “Dancing in The Spirit.” Amazingly in 2011, Lady P. & THE LATE SHOW’S GOSPEL CHOIR, went on two triumphant sold-out tours to Spain.

Besides starring in her own Gospel musicals, Lady Peachena sang with The Institutional Radio Choir on Broadway in ‘88, in “GOSPEL AT COLONUS,” and she has starred in such Off-Broadway shows as: “SEASON’S REASONS,” “OVER 40,” & “GOD’S TROMBONES.”

Since ’97, this soulful singer’s been a member of The Love Fellowship Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY, where the renowned recording artist & choir director, Bishop Hezekiah Walker is pastor. She sang with the Grammy-winning Love Fellowship Choir for over a decade, and she’s now a member of Bishop Walker’s Azusa Choir which recorded the smash hit, “Every Praise.”
