Annissa Brockington-Wilfalk is the Senior Coordinator of Recruiting for the School Polk of Polk County. She was born in Gainesville, Florida. She holds two post secondary degrees: BS degree in Elementary Education (Bethune Cookman University-1994), and a MS degree in Management & Administration of Education Programs (Nova Southeastern University-2005). She has over eight years of Human Resources experience, eight years of project management and curriculum design and development experience (private sector), and six years combined teaching experience (public K-12 and higher ed). She implemented the District's Teachers You Have Options Program in 2007. This program was a collaborative effort between the Polk Education Foundation, local businesses, and the Office of Recruiting and offered incentives and discounts on a variety of services (e.g., housing, retail items, etc.) to over 7000 teachers. She is a Girls Inc. Board Member, InnerAct Alliance Board Member, and serves on multiple diversity-related committees within the Polk County School District.
