Member of the great class of Onyx II! ... Refered to as: Myke w/ the "Y"
Most Memorable Moment:
Will always remember the large amount of construction - from the creation of Hampton Harbors, Wilder Hall, Wipple Barn renovation, Tennis court construction, Convocation Center, Harvey Library, museum relocation, and anything else I may have left out during those 4yrs!! -- Living in Pheobus for 4 years, and taking that mile walk to campus daily... walking past Strawberry Banks [which was then a place for truckers w/ their rented lady-friend], the VA Hosp prior to a parking lot filling out all the space across from it, and then behind the cemetary ... always a fun walk in the winter and nite. -- Being annoyed when awaiting a call from someone on campus ... there were only one or two phones/floor & EVERYONE had to use them ... the in-room phones didn't start 'til '90... sometimes those didn't work either [life prior to cell phones]. -- The infamous Block Parties and my fav. The SweatBox - aka Union Parties. Aahhhh yes... the SweatBox... where 300 students would pack into the tiny Union jammin to R&B, Rap/HipHop, a touch of Reggae, Go-Go, and the ever popular House ... at some point, most-to-er'y body bust their @## on the dance floor because it would be literally layered in about 1/4" of sweat!! lol ... slidin' around like an ice rink on funky sweat - then they'd toss saw dust on it to help absorb some of it .... hey, we were mostly underclassmen... no place else to party! -- University 101!!!! GOD I HATED THAT CLASS!!! -- Lastly, All my wonderful "Lil' Sisters"! Still love u guys!!
