About   (request update)
My Interview Question
How broke were you at the BIG T.I. and how did you make it thru???
Current Whereabouts:
Indianapolis, In. in a quaint National Historic District (a designation for which I wrote the proposal) in a home built when?...1908 I have recently retired early from Federal Service(Senior Federal Investigator GS14, Multi-Classified in Linguisitics, Enforcement, Training and Tactical Weaponry) in order to pursue further education at the post-graduate level. I am the Aunt to six (6) - three extremely beautiful and ladylike nieces and three outstandingly handsome and gentlemanly nephews. All are extremely intelligent, having been tested out of grade levels (with the exception of the youngest niece who is three but just give her time) and all are expected to attend HBCU(s) thus becoming the 4th generation to earn that distinction. I have been active with Kappa Tau Omega Chapter, Bloomington IN, (home of the great Constance Kinard Holland - Supreme Parliamentarian and MY personal mentor) having served in an official capacity for over 10 years, with three terms as its President. I have also served in an official capacity at the Regional Level of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I am currently a member of the largest, oldest and most illustrious city chapter, Alpha Mu Omega Graduate Chapter-Indianapolis, the home chapter of my Mother, my sister (KIM), God-Mother and two God-sisters. Along with Federal Service, I also maintained a strong bond with our Family's businesses as well as heavy involvement within my community, i.e. teaching debutante/cotillion/etiquette skills at local schools, running a charm school, local and national offices within my Church and civic/community boards. So life keeps moving and I'm trying to move forward with it!!
Education   (request update)
Tuskegee University class of 1986
Undergrad Major: Sociology
Campus Organization:
Alpha Kappa Alpha
Claim To Fame:
Not just beauty (My sisters and I were all Tuskegee Campus queens at the same time) but brains too... having been accepted into the MARC Program (Minority Access to Research Careers - a full ride scholarship with board books and stipend) and while an Undergrad, presenting my research to the National Institute of Mental Health, which then led to my 20+ yr career with the Federal Government, in the classification of Scholar. I am also proud to say that I attended during the age of the "Institute" era and have diplomas from both the Big TI and TU.
Most Memorable Moment:
Too many memories to name or share - - but those that know me ( Yogi ) ... Know Me! The Grace Jones haircut, the Prince Tour Concerts, the self- expression, the Dance and Modeling Troupe, the roadtrips, the late night Scrabble tourneys, Living Off the Yard, the Football games, the Ave, the rock, watching my Sister step around the tree, and ooooh just soooo much to celebrate! The people that I met at TI for good and/or bad have helped to shaped my life and to bring me into the person I am. I can either thank them profusely and/or curse them profoundly. I choose to remember only the good and the goodness. The good far outweighed anything else and Tuskegee remains to this day, the best experience and lesson of my life.
High School: Cathedral High School in indianapolis, IN class of 1981
