Claim To Fame:

There was a picture of me in the Greensboro local city paper shaking hands with the Sandra Hughes of WFMY News 2. It was a small recognition ceremony for the local community group I was part of. I didn't even know about it until I paid a visit to my friend's house during the weekend and they showed me the paper.

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorable moment was at NC A & T state university while in General Engineering class. Each student had been assigned to choose a project, design it and then do a presentation on it in class. I chose the “Truss Bridge” using balsa wood. I spent four days designing and constructing it also I spent more time visualizing exactly how I wanted it to look and present to the class. On the day of my presentation, I used power point slide, video, and even class participation. Before this class I had had no prior training on public speaking, but by the time I finished my presentation, my professor and everyone in the class all agreed hands-down that my presentation was one of the best and professionally presented project they had ever seen given by a freshman! I nailed it! I recall how connected I was with the project I was representing (the specifications of the bridge). My professor even told me that it seemed I had almost a natural ability as a sales Engineer to step into a role. I really enjoyed my class because standing in front of the crowd in that way was so new and exciting to me. Most of all, it was particularly memorable because I nailed that presentation and it gave me confidence of becoming a good Engineer in the future.
