About   (request update)
Current Whereabouts:
At this time i am currently having financial problems. In May while my family was in for graduation I had a meeting with them regarding my decision for school. I decided to let them know that i will be attend Clark during the fall of 06. My grandfather (a retired registrar for over 20 years) was extremely dissappointed with me because he wanted me to go to Atlanta Metropolitan College because they were offering me a 2 year scholarship there. I personally did not want to go there because it would not be as beneficial as me attend a University for the full four years. i personally wanted to get out of the house and live in freshman dorms and get the full experience. Going to Atlanta Metro will not give me a real college experience. My uncle regrets going there for the two years he went he always told me it was ike going to high school because you would have to comute there and back. My grandparents who has raised me ever since i was born always told me that as a young black man i need to make my own decisions and never let anymody tell me what to do i need to voice my opinion at all times. That night was one the hardest nights that I have ever had. My grandparents did not have my back and my own mother at first did not even support me. The only people that was supporting me at that time was my aunt and uncle. Even Though they supported me they gave me a deadline. I have until the end of August to be in a school or i'm getting kicked out of both of my houses. I have applied for scholarship after scholarhip. I have applied for loans and they have denied me time after time. The problem is that I do not have credit at this time and i need a co signer. After a two months or so my family started to see that i was serious about going to Clark and they were willing to help me out, but the problem was that my grandparents have stopped all credit cards because they are in debt it will take them five years to pay that off, my mother credit is not goood enough for her to qualify for any loans or co sign and my uncle is currently in school so he is not able to help me out. It seems as if the weight of the world is on my shoulders. I have asked the church to pray for me, I have prayed myself and it seems as if my dreams of going to college at Clark will never prevail. I ask you at this time to please help me out even if I can't win the scholarship can I at least get a reference number or any type of information to help me with financial assitance. I will continue to pray and seek God for better understading and hope that all will get better. Have a blessed day Damani Anderson (678) 472-5441

Claim To Fame:
At this point and time i am currently an entering freshman starting the 23rd of August. My "Claim to Fame" in High School would be during this past school year at graduation. As I was talking to my Music Teacher regarding the songs for graduation I decided to form my own "group" for graduation which consist of myself and four other young black gentlemen at a well diversed school in Lithia Springs Georgia. Boys II Men " It's So Hard To Say Gppdbye" was chosen as our class song. I met with my teacher and we decided that I could be personally in charge of forming the group, scheduling practice times, and also performing it during graduation. I hand picked each individual we rehearsed during and after school so that by the time graduation came we were ready and the performance was magnificant. I am personally proud of that because i was able to all of these things physically on my own.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable event would be during orientation in July. I can honestly say that orientation was one of the most adventerous exciting and enjoyable events that i attended. the aura was so positive and exciting the OG's (Orientation Guides) were always excited and extremely helpful. Next year I will be applying for a position as an Orientation Guide.
