Current Whereabouts:
I was born and raised in Sacramento, Ca. That is where I currently reside, but in about a week I will be in D.C. I have chosen to uproot myself from my golden California sunshine to go to D.C. and see what the other side of the country has to offer me. I am in a place in my life where I have begun to see some of my goals become reality.

Claim To Fame:
This is the plan as of now...at any moment it is subject to change...I am majoring in political science and taking a minor in African American studies. Upon graduation I will attend law school and pass the bar exam in California because there's no place like home. I will be a civil rights activist promoting the prosperity of the minority peoples. By the time I am 40 I will be living in Ghana where I will do my part in helping the African peoples.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment thus far, was having met Dr. Cornel West. Dr. West is an alumnus of John F. Kennedy High School which now I can say that I am too. He is a man of greatness. Being in his presence brought a profound joy to my young and inexperienced mind. He came to Kennedy to speak and I made sure that I sat front row, center. I was so close that I could see the spit fly out of his mouth (ya dig?). When he speaks, you feel compelled to listen...although he pro-nun-ci-ates every syllable in every word, if your thought process isn't quick enough, you will get lost. Can you tell that I idolize this man????Hello...I clung to his every word hoping that some of his knowledge would be indelibly branded in my mind (and it was)...I was attracted so strongly to his intellect that had Denzel Washington walked into the room I would not have cared....okay maybe not, but when you love learning like I do, you fondly appreciate the knowledge one possesses. Anyway, I stood up and asked a question to him and prospective governor Phil Angelides, and they were both blown away by the complexity and honesty that my question demanded. Afterwards, everyone told me what a great question it was (that's the true reporter in my). I got a picture with him, and he signed my yearbook. He told me what a great school Howard was and that I would love it. I am greatful for that moment.
