I am currently living in Fayetteville, NC with my husband and two children. My husband is active duty military and currently deployed in Iraq. I am am employed fulltime with the Cumberland County Department of Social Services

Claim To Fame:
I have completed a novel based on the story of my life, my sister's battle with drug addiction and how to overcome the struggles in life. This is my first book and I am currently seeking avenues to have my work published.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment was in 1986 when I attended a seminar at Fredonia State University in Fredonia, NY, the keynote speaker was Susan L. Taylor, then editor in chief of Essence Magazine. Ms. Taylor spoke of how she began her career with Essence with no more than a High School diploma and a certificate for Cosmotology. Ms. Taylor had the courage to believe in herself and she was motivated to succeed in life despite the obstacles before her. Her story inspired me and I too believe that no obstacle is too hard to overcome and with perserverance, success is sure to follow.
