From Norfolk, raised in VA Beach, but I'm BACK in Norfolk!
**My mother is my highest inspiration. Her first child's father (my father) was a cheater and a drug addict, she was on welfare living with her mother (my G-ma), but that didn't last long...NOW she is happily married to my other father (step-daddy) with two younger boys, owns a 3 bedroom home in a pretty nice area, and is a supervisor. She never let her environment saturate her mind...I am the same way. No matter how dark it is where I am, I always see the brighter side. I admit sometimes its hard to keep going, but that's what family and friends are for =)
**My biological father is my 2nd inspiration. He was a drug addict who was neveer there for me, but he FULLY turned his life around, and is always there willing to listen to WHATEVER I have to say. He makes an honest living now, and is happily married to my step-mother where they and one of my little sisters live in a nice area in VA Beach. Gotta thank God for that because not everybody is so lucky. Yeah my father wasn't around, but not only did I have a step-father who more than stepped up to the plate, I also had the blessing of having my biological father clean up his act. That is rare indeed =)

Where are you now, where do you hope to be, and what do you plan to give back? Also, what are your BIG dreams/desires outside of acadamia?

Life & Professional Aspirations:

I hope to gradute from Norfolk State University with my bachelors and become a public school counselor. After that I would like to attend medical school somewhere near Atlanta, GA (Emory Perhaps?? lol) and earn my M.D. in clinical psychiatry. After that my ultimate goal as of now is to have my own practice and start an organization for inner-city citizens.

Most Memorable Moment:

Getting accepted to my first college intership at Northern Arizona University doing research in the area of neuropsychology. 12 O'Clock lunch break with my friends <1st time we ever spent time together during school lol>. Failing my psych class, and ending up with a 2.5 GPA =( ...BUT putting my game face back on and boosting my GPA up tp a 3.2 the next semester!! =)

High School: Tallwood in Virginia Beach, VA class of 2008

Activities & Accomplishments:

Spanish Club, Step team , FBLA <1st place in Tidewater Region for Business Procedures testing>, Graduated with Honors & Governor's Seal of Academic Excellence

Best Memories:

Performing "I'm going down" with my best friend in the talent show, 12th grade Government class, 9th grade Earth science class, Class of 08' day at KingsDominion, and of course GRADUATION!! =)
