While at SCSU, I worked for the South Carolina Program for the Recruitment & Retention of Minority Teachers; I learned a lot from my mentor Dr. Cheese and made some good friends.
Most Memorable Moment:
I had many memorable moments in Orangeburg, SC (i.e., being a Student Orientation Leader, waitin' in Assessment & Financial Aid lines during Registration, student teaching, staying in Mays II (3 years in Room 324), MEAC/HBCU football & basketball games, Homecoming/Homecoming Concerts & Stepshows, etc.).

Monterrey (really all of Salinas Valley) is simultaneously relaxing and invigorating. Especially, if you love preserved literary history as I do. One of my favorite writers, John Steinbeck's life is well-preserved in the area.
