(interview me)
Courtney Delagraentiss
Location: Houston, TX United States
Joined: Dec 1st, 2006
About   (request update)
I love God, Architecture, and my family. I enjoy playing the saxophone. I'm away from all my family now but it's all hopes that one day I'll be able to take care of them better than if I had stayed at home in Texas.
My Interview Question
What is your favorite number?
Current Whereabouts:
I just returned from a weekend trip to Chicago where I got to check ou the work of my two favorite Architects, Mies Van Der Rohe and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Urban Design; to be an Entrepreneur.
Education   (request update)
Howard University class of 2012
Undergrad Major: Architecture
Claim To Fame:
I volunteered at the YMCA Headquarter in Washington, DC for Spring Break a few years back. They had me doing a lot of graphic design but one day, the supervisor asked me to research the Zoning Regulations for DC when concerning parking for a pre-existing building. In doing so, I discovered that their building was a historic landmark. This new information saved them thousands of dollars on potential parking issues because historic landmarks aren't required to add parking when renovated.
Most Memorable Moment:
When my family flew to my school to celebrate my 21st birthday at The Meeting Place. When Lyfe Jennnings signed my twin sister's birthday card after a seminar on campus. When my dad first flew with me to DC and spent beaucoup money to get me settled with all the best from Macy's (most-likely the last time I shopped at Macy's).
High School: G.C. Scarborough High School in Houston, TX class of 2007

Activities & Accomplishments:
JROTC 1st LT; Saxophone Section Leader Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band; President, Urban Youth Club/ Youth Leaders; Black History Program Coordinator and Co-Host; Architectural Magnet Program
Best Memories:
Winning Best in State for the Texas TSA competition with the rest of my team; Dancing at Prom with all of my friends; my first parade with the band, and my family watching on the side of the street; finishing my first poem and completing my first book assignment in Mrs. Bryant's Freshman English class.
