Attended Cheney University (Secondary Ed Major; writer campus newspaper; member American Friends Service Campus Committee; worked as live-in maid to get thru 1st year--aka slavery@ $10 a week). LaSalle U maxima cum laude BA grad in Education & English; Danforth Fellow; managing & literary editor of Grimoire arts publication; active Black Students Assoc.. Washington State U MA grad in English/Creative Writing; co-founder Kamiak Review lit pub; co-founder, The Black Group (community org); co-founder Women of Color org; became Director of Science Supportive Services for Women/Students of Color incl campus-wide tutoring program. First book of poems published in India. ABD in doctoral programs at Penn State U (Adult Ed & Admin of Justice) and The Fielding Institute (Educational Leadership & Change). Unpublished dissertation plus 18 essays previously published in her Women of Color column in blackcommentator.com were published as "The Constructive Extermination of Women of Color: Consequences of Perpetual Socio-Economic Marginalization." Has published 2 other collections of poems, essays, short stories. Expert on topic of racism+sexism in education, law enforcement and other agencies/organizations.
