Reverend Anita Green serves as the Associate Minister at Trinity Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mableton, under the leadership of Rev. Portia Wills Lee.
She is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She is a graduate of The University of Baltimore with a degree in English Literature. She is a 2009 honors graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in May, 2009 with a Masters of Divinity with a concentration in The Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care. While at ITC, she served as an officer with the Student Christian League and was a member of the Biblical Studies Club. She currently serves as the Vice-President of Theta Phi International Honors Society at The ITC. She is also serving as a Teaching Assistant and frequent guest lecturer in the Pastoral Care Department as well as the Baptist denominational classes.
In May, 2015, Rev. Green received her Doctor of Ministry degree, Magna Cum Laude from the ITC. Her Dissertation centered on African American Women and Grief.
Rev. Dr. Green is employed as a Hospice Chaplain Supervisor and Bereavement Counselor. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Professional Advisory Group for Chaplaincy at the Grady Memorial Hospital, which oversees the educational and clinical training of students in the internship and residency groups. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Professional Advisory Group affiliated with the Care and Counseling Center of Georgia. Dr. Green currently serves as a Board member of The Willie A. Watkins Foundation. Dr. Green is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and she is the Chaplain for the Women of Distinction, Incorporated. She is also the Secretary of the Cobb County Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
Dr. Green's motto is, "only what you do for Christ will last."
