How many people in your life would you call a true friend?
"I have several true friends who are like family to me. Most of whom I met in college."

Upon completion of college she obtained a position as vocal music teacher with the New York City school system. She retired in 2005 after thirty-five successful years. Her choirs have sung at several America Sings Choral Festivals, for a Black history program given by the United States Marshalls, at the opening of the J.F.K. International Arrivals Building, Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days, and at the White House for Mrs. Hillary Clinton. She is listed in several volumes of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Ms. Augustin has also been choir director and organist for several churches in the New York area.

Current Whereabouts:
Currently I am enjoying life, and traveling with my husband. We are both retired and loving it!
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life aspiration is outlive my pension and social security contributions.

Claim To Fame:
Most recently Ms. Augustin has published two children’s book; Rag Doll Tales, and Rag Doll Tales Mama Mabel’s Story/The Journey. She also recently gave her first vocal recital, which was received with a standing ovation. She spends her time writing, singing, and traveling with her husband of 37 years. Most Memorable Moment:
Choir tour, especially Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Nothing else will ever compare.
