I am currently enrolled at Oakwood College, in Huntsville, AL. However, home is in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Undergrad Major: Social Work

Claim To Fame:

I plan to start an organization that help and support young mothers and children in recieving a higher educaiton, social economic status, and resources to various policies that will help them obtain thier goals and reach thier dreams. Eventually, as I become a senior in the social work field I aspire to build a home and community in Hawaii, Trinidad and Tobago, and Dominican Republic for orphaned children. The "home" would have dental care, resources to jobs, and a school to start with.

Most Memorable Moment:

One of my most memorable events at Oakwood College is the time I helped various people who were disabled. Our General Methods of Micro/Mezzo Social Work class, instructed by Dr. Edith Fraser, painted wheelchair ramps at various homes with very "cheap" paint. After painting the ramps we tried to wash the paint off of our hands and failed. We were really fustrated, but the elderly man and his wife were extremely excited about thier newly painted ramp! Although we were upset about the "seemingly unremovable paint", we felt great about what we had done, and how we had made a family happy.
