I am currently on summer break from Spelman College and working back home in Virginia. My summer is going to consist of endless searches for scholarship money and long nights in a fast-food restuarant to try and meet the needs for my schools funds.

Claim To Fame:
As a first-year student at Spelman College, it was amazing to see the positive changes it has caused in my life both emotionally and spiritually. Because of that, my motivations have increased to give my very best in whatever career path I decide to pursue. Despite financial troubles, I wish to graduate and survive all struggles. For those struggles will mold me into a more determined, motivated, and spiritual Spelman Woman who will be capable of standing tall as a leader and role model for current and future generations to come.
Most Memorable Moment:
I will never forget the appearance and motivational speech given by bookwriter and Reverend, Iyanla Vanzant. Her words of faith and indescribeable presence took complete hold of the audience and I was forever touched. Never have I encountered an individual, especially an African-American woman, who was able to maintain her strength and faith in the Lord. She gave me hope and inspiration to continue on through life without worries or stress and a lifetime amount of meaningful knowledge.
