Q&A With Yolonda Coleman

(interview me)

About   (request update)
Current Whereabouts:
I DID IT! I FINALLY DID IT! I moved out of DC. I'm now a Floridian. I attended the National Hampton Alumni Association Convention in Ohio. So much information was shared. I left with a mission. My mission: To round up as many participants from the classes of 90 to 2004. The alumni association needs your help to continue giving 7 $10,000 scholarships to deserving students. I had a chance to meet the recipients from last year. THEY ARE AWESOME! If we each give a minimum of $1 (you can give more...someone donated over $500,000...I have to find their son), corporations will be more willing to match the current funds. I'm starting the "FEED THE PIRATE" campaign. Every time I meet a Hamptonian, I'm asking for $1 or more to feed the pirate. It's tax deductable and you'll feel good about helping someone who is unable to suppliment their education at our beloved "Home By the Sea." In other news...I finished writing the ultimate love story. Please check out www.coffeedreamz.com. Send me a note and let me know what you think.

Claim To Fame:
wwww.coffeedreamz.com SUGAR RUSH: Love's Liberation to be birthed late this summer. Please check out my site. I was known as "Yo Yo" by my classmates. Now I'm often called Coleman by co-workers. My favorite movie is "The Wiz." I finally received the soundtrack on my 25th birthday. I'm 28 now. I haven't changed much (unless I don't get my hair done...then I look like "The Prom Queen of King High School [Halle Berry's role as a druggy in New Jack City] hee hee). "Remembering your youth helps you through the stress in your adult life." -Yolonda Coleman
Most Memorable Moment:
Hmm...there are so many memories at the Great Hampton University. I guess my most memorable moment was when I finally realized my days as a Hampton student were over. I cried on my way to commencement when I saw "Bullet" our belovedly dreaded campus police officer. As much as it bothered most people to be hounded by "Bullet" for their ID...he was a part of the memory.
