About   (request update)
My Interview Question
Who do I run for?
Current Whereabouts:
Salisbury...Running a personal training business and training for 08 Olympic Trials... My name is Carlos 27, originally from a small town called Bristol, Va/TN. I moved to North Carolina when I was 12 and have been here since. My birthday is September 20th and I am a virgo. My experience here is NC has been a pretty good one though I don't know if I can see myself spending the rest of my life here. I have 1 brother who is 24 and 1 sister who is 30 and I love my family to death. I am striving for the best in life each and everyday and keeping God first is truly a must because without him nothing is possible. I have been running track for 15 years and it's my passion along with writing poetry. I have learned in life to always follow your dream/passion. My passion is to represent the USA in the 08 Olympics. I wanted to teach but all of that went out the door when a kid spit in my face this past summer at my internship. Just when you think you have patiences...LOL I however still want to work with the youth but not teaching. I have my own personal training business and thats going great for me. The great thing is I am still young, healthy, no kids, don't smoke or drink..and nothing truly holding me back from doing the things that I wanna do in life.

What a positive message my brother. I have a son who will be a second semester freshman at Livingstone College and my niece will begin her fist year at Livingstone on Aug 10th. I am so proud of them both endeavoring to be all they can be at this point in their lives. I am assured from Our Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ that all will be well. I do not know if you still stay around willing to mentor and or help out in other ways at Livingstone I know that I will go over and do what is asked of me at NC Central University from time to time . If this is the case ny son continues to need the examoles of the positive people but especially the positive Black Male in his life , to encourage and edify him at all times.I to was a teacher in Brooklyn, New York and here in Durham in Special Education it is a challenge so I certainly know what you mean but the key to success is to stay consistent with your boundaries with your students and all youth for that matter letting them know that while I am a person just like you I have lived longer and experienced more than you(and even though I may have never experienced gang banging, child abuse etc. whatever the conversation may be), again because I have had been here longer and had some serious pressing challenges that I have overcome so I am able to tell you that you to can overcome this. I visited the high school I taught at last year and it felt good to see those students running up to me saying "Ms.Saunders when ARE YOU COMING BACK or MS SAUNDERS I AM GRADUATING AND I AM DOING ALGEBRA(something no one ever expects of the Special Education crew) but I am glad that My God and I did have high expectations for the students and I tried to instill in them to have them for THEIR OWN LIVES. Peace Brother Ross
