About   (request update)
Hello. My name is Christina Jackson-Davis. Currently, I am working as University Staff as a Judicial Administration Fellow with California State University, Sacramento. I am taking graduate level courses in the Public Administration and Public Policy Department while being assigned to Chief Executive Officer of the Superior Court, Sacramento County. I left my position with the Federal Government in Georgia to accept this prestigious opportunity. My ultimate career goal is to become a Court Administrator, or Chief Executive Officer of the courts. I want to be a CEO in Court Administration because I have a strong desire to affect change through developing criminal justice and court programs that embrace collaborative and restorative justice for those reentering society after completing their debts to society and in need of transitional and reintegration assistance. My experiences, passions, and ambitions lie in the criminal justice system and ensuring people are offered exceptional customer service, and that people are well-informed, and advocated for when possible. I strongly believe our country's investment in programs and services would be far better spent than on more prisons. I recently graduated from Brandman University, a subsidiary of Chapman University in Irvine, California, Class of 2013 with a major in Organizational Leadership and a concentration in Human Resource Management. My Bachelors of Science is in Criminal Justice Administration from University of Phoenix, Class of 2009. My prior criminal justice experience has been with Washington State Veteran’s Affairs, operating as a Veterans Benefit Specialist and Veterans Justice Liaison in one of the first felony veteran’s drug courts in the Nation. I have also served as Probation Caseaide for a juvenile probation department in Washington State. In the United States Army, I was a correctional officer in the Military Police Corp. Civically, I have completed a leadership program with StepUp Savannah Neighborhood Leadership Academy, where I received leadership mentorship in launching my idea to develop a program called Soldier-2-Vet that would assist veterans and soldiers transition at various points in their lives. I have also completed two Citizen's Academies with Savannah-Chatham Police Department and the Tacoma Police Department. I served as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Low Country Time Bank in Savannah, GA. I taught a Young Adult(ages 18 - 25)Sunday School class in my church in Savannah, GA. I also assisted with tutoring reading for our church's tutoring program. I have also served as a Military Liaison parent for the school Parent Teacher Association. From 2004 to 2011, I served as local Secretary and from 2010 to 2011, as District level Vice President of the Pacific Northwest District Council (Washington State) Healthcare Professionals. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, scrapbooking, reading, shopping, baking, and watching good movies with the family. I am married nearly 13 years to Nathaniel, a wonderful man and servicemember of the United States Army. We have four children: Jessica at the University of Washington, Tacoma; Christopher at Savannah Technical Community College, Savannah, GA; Jamikal, 6th grade; and Jayden, 2nd grade.
