Claim To Fame:

Being a Spelman woman, I would like to uphold the tradition of success. From many convocations and speakers, I have been able to realize the importance of giving back to the community. After college, I would like to give back to the community by continuing my life long passion by volunteering. While at school, I have come in contact with many individuals who have helped me along the way, dedicating their life to the betterment of the African-American society.

Most Memorable Moment:

In college, I am exposed to many events in life and I have come in contact with many memorable individuals. One memorable event that I remember very distinctly is a workshop, “Finding Your Purpose” that was hosted by The Office of Career Planning. Dr. Zenobia L. Hikes, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students was the speaker of this rewarding and life changing moment. The speech talked about finding your “nia.” Nia in Swahili means purpose and it is recognized as the fifth day of Kwanza. Dean Hikes spoke on finding your purpose in life and using your given talent to find your purpose in life. This was a very educational and informal speech that was the most memorable moment in my college career thus far.

Most memorable event in high school was prom because I was the vice president of the JCC and I helped to plan prom and help make prom successful. This was very enjoying even though it did require a lot of hard work and time.
