About   (request update)
I don't believe my story is that different from many others. I do feel however that the reason I made it through my trials and tribulations and out of where I came from and not being a statistic is the fact that I had two strong parents that challenged me to do and be better. I grew up with a strong faith base and family values. I am in the first in my family to graduate from college and I will be the first to get my Masters degree. I am a risk taker with alot of drive, strong will, and tenacity beside me. I lost my mother four years ago to heart disease and diabetes so I challenge myself to help with the fight of these two diseases as well as lupus which is also a silent killer of black women in America. I want to use my life and live my life as an example to young women and older woman alike to challenge them to not diet but to eat healthy and be healthy and use your life to help others.
