Claim To Fame:
My "Claim to Fame" during college is that I consider my self the typical post child for young African-American children, who were raised in a broken home, and in turn became a product of that broken home. I was a single young mother of four children by the age of 21. Against the growing statistical odds, I managed to single handedly go to college fulltime. While being a fulltime parent & student, I currently maintain an academic of GPA 3.89.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment in college would have to be this past Spring 2004 semester. Two of my children perished in a house fire during spring break. Despite my time of bereavement, I still managed to earn 6 A's and an "I" for my seven classes. In addition, before my sudden and brief departure from school, I received a plaque for honorable mentioned in reference to academic excellence from the Sheriff of the City of Fayetteville, Earl R. Butler. More importantly, I found a group of caring people that sincerely supported me through the most difficult time in my life. FAYETTEVILLE BRONCOS FOREVER!!!
