Undergrad Major: Physical Therapy
Claim To Fame:
Academic Major, Career Plan, & Personal Traits My major is Physical Therapy. I chose it because I love sports, and I would like to go into sports medicine. Sports Therapy I feel is very fun. You are guiding someone to better their bodies while also helping them better their health. You are molding and teaching them to train their bodies, and apply the therapy that the body needs. Some personal traits that I feel are important are communication and understanding with the people that you are working on and the people you are working with. You also have to have a good mind that about the needs that need to be met. Health care is so important in this world, and we do not be aware and help one another, things will never change. The second choice would have been Forensic Science. Educational Plan You can have a Masters to work in Physical Therapy, but I am aiming for My Doctrine. The program that I am in right now, courts me to be in school for six and a half years to earn my Doctrine. Some Universities that I am thinking of attending are Tennessee State University, which is in Nashville; Nova which is in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; or Loma Linda, in California. The G.P.A. necessary can range from a 2.5- 3.0. I will be at Oakwood for three years. I am doing my second one currently, and I plan to have at least a 3.5 by the time I graduate. My plans are to the best while I am here at Oakwood, and continue to do my best as I go on from Oakwood. My advisor’s name is Mrs. Susan Baker. She in the Cooper Complex in the Chemistry Dept. Her extension is 7117, and her email is smbakerpt@aol.com
Most Memorable Moment:
The most memorable person to me at Oakwood College would be my adviser. Dr. Susan Baker. She is a very inspiring and dedicated teacher, friend, and adviser. She is the Chairperson for the Allied Health Department, and also my adviser. I have classes from her, and she is an excellent teacher. She is organized, knowledgeable, and devoted to make sure her students come our knowing what they need to know to be able to help their patients as public health professionals. I appreciate her, and I will always remember the things she's done for me and the things she has taught me.
