So, how has life been to you?

Current Whereabouts:

I am in Jacksonville, Florida.I am employee with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District. I am an active member National Society of Black Engineer (NSBE) Jacksonville Alumnae Extension Chapter.

South Carolina State University class of 1982

Undergrad Major: Civil Engineering

Claim To Fame:

I was vote Civil Engineering Technician of the year by the Northeast Florida Society of Engineers 1999. While serving as the Chairperson of the Black Employment Program for the Jacksonville District Corps of Engineers. I organized a charity golf tournament in the remembrance ofa co-worker that died of cancer at the age of 30. His name was Rico Mack, a native of John's Island, S.C. He attend North Carolina A & T. Over the last three year we have raised over $10,000.00,which has gone to nine high school seniors in the Jacksonville area planning to major in Engineering, Math, Science and Computer Science.

Most Memorable Moment:

Homecomming Concert 1975 featuring Ramsey Lewis, Bootsy Rubber Band, Parliment and the Funkedelic's Student boycott SGA Party's at the Farm.Meeting Harry Carson for the first time with a classmate that ask him if he play football. He replied, "the football player are over there". He probally said, those guys must be freshmen. Later, at the Friday Night Pep Rally he introduced himself as follows: For all of you that do not know me my name is Harry "Big Dog" Carson No. 75. This was August 1975,my Freshman year. Phil and I still laugh about that day.Graduation Day. I was the first of nine siblings to obtain a college degree. They all were in attendent along with my Mother and Father. This was the proudest day of my life.
