Best Memories:
High School was great, but I feel like college is the time when I have most matured and accepted who I am so I'd rather write here...Why I chose to go to an HBCU? Well, first and foremost, I believe that God has an amazing plan for my life- so when I thought about the best school for me, I looked at my life. I'm a writer at heart, aspiring to be a professional journalist with a strong foundation in my African American heritage. With that being said, I wanted to find a school where I was celebrated as an African American, could be well trained to conquer my craft, and network with determined individuals like myself. Long story- short, I chose Howard University not only because it met my standards, but it also has a rich legacy beyond description, headlining Alumni (positive & powerful headlines), numerous opportunities to learn and grow as a young journalist, plus it's in Washington, DC, where our National news is right in Howard's backyard. Why wouldn't I want to be a part of such greatness and start my own legacy?? The decision was simple! I LOVE the REAL HU and I'm a BISON for LIFE!
