Claim To Fame:
I came to Alcorn from Maryland not knowing what I was getting myself into. Luckily it turned out to be a good thing. To some extent coming to Mississippi and Alcorn was some what of a "culture shock", so to speak. It made me appreciate where I came from. When I say this I mean that I appreciate the fact that I was able to grow up around all cultures and that I was able to see people for who they are and that the only person holding you down is yourself. I love Alcorn and my experiences there, no doubt about it, I had fun. It made me a better person. With the school being so small it was some what of a family. Everyone knowing eachother isn't really a good thing, but it can be at times. I will be an Alcornite until the day I die and I wouldn't change that for the world.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment in college was being part of the gospel choir. This was just the beginning of me becoming closer to God. I then began going to FCA bible study which at the time was held at Lanier and Burrus Hall and once more people started coming it finally got moved to the SUB. This experience led to me being saved and baptized. It will be a moment that I will never forget. Another memorable moment will always be the day I met my dog, Reka. It will be double trouble for life. My other best friend who claimed that we woud be best friends from the moment we began talking on the phone will be my homie for life. I'll never forget him, nor our experiences together.
