About   (request update)
Current Whereabouts:
I am a recent college graduate in the process of applying to graduate school. Also seeking full-time employment as an educator in a preschool setting, an administrative position within an educational organization and/or a non-for-profit youth organization.
Education   (request update)
Chicago State University class of 2007
Undergrad Major: Education Administration
Claim To Fame:
During college i wanted to be remebered by the university faculty and peers as the young lady who strived endlessly for overcoming obstacles and being successfully in alll areas of her professional education. Since i recently grduated with my B.A. in education, family memebrs, peers and professors have been reminiscing, giving their best wishes reflecting on my struggle through college. I am remebered as an individual who faced many interupptions throughout her educational career, and besides alll odds, have demolished and overcame them all. My 'claim to fame" boils down to being a strong willed, educated Jamaican national who has made many who has had the opportunity to know her proud individuals of her accomplishments.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment(s) in college describes my experience of a shocking realization of my failed accomplishments. In the year 2002 my GPA dropped below 1.5. At that time my apartment had recently caught on fire, i was working full timen experiencing a troubled/emotionally unbalanced relationship, my father was not help with my education as he continually promised and my mother had became very ill. At that moment of receiveing the letter of Academic Probation, i realized i allow everything to get in the way of my education, especially the emotional breakdown i experienced in my relationship. I remember making a promise to myself to get serious about school, raise my GPA, acquire the knowledge i intended to receive and successfully graduate school. It took alot of hard work, persistence and the ability to let go negative aspects of my life, including the person i was with at that time. I must say my most memerable moment(s) in college is a stretched span of five years of rebuilding my education.I have discarded all possible negative aspescts of my life, achieve my goals and remain control of my future goals. Even though i learned the hard way, the mere fact remains that i learned. I was told its hard to rebuild your GPA, it took a while for me to get in full gear, but it also took four years to get my GPA to a 3.0 average
