Band Leader - Side Musician - Arranger - Producer - Performer Studio Musician - Songwriter I have been playing professionally since 1967. I am 61 years young. Born and raised in Jersey City , NJ . aka Chill-Town. I have played many styles of music. R&B/Hip Hop/Light Jazz/Latin/etc. I have a good ear and feeling for music and a good memory. Also, I can sing, write songs, and I have studio and performing experience. I have been a back up musician for La Wanda Page aka Aunt Esther with Leroy and Skillet. Once a staff musician with the Apollo Theater and shared the same with Ben Vareen also played behind the Apollo winners who did the pilot for the TV show of the same name. I have shared the same stage with Eddie Kendricks, Jerry Butler, Escorts and Soul Generation. The Manhattans recorded a song I wrote entitled, “You’d Better Believe It? Jimmy Briscoe and the Beavers recorded a song I wrote entitled, “More Than You Realize” I played in an Old School Rap song entitled, “It’s Life (You Better Think Twice” by Grand Master Scott and Dynamic Three, Produce by Jerry Bloodrock I am presently working on a CD entitled, “Something’s On My Mind’ STAGE EXPERIENCE: Club Cabaret; Boston , Mass. Accompanied Joi Cartwell, Karen Anderson and Billy Robinson; 1988. They were the winners who did the pilot for the T.V. show; It’s Showtime at the Apollo.Accompanied Renee Stefanie; who sang background vocals for many years with Kool and the Gang. At J.C. Winston’s in downtown Jersey City , N.J. and Club 88; East Orange , N.J. (1985 My own group called Prodigy, we performed at Skydive: World Trade Center One, 44th, Floor.)Accompanied the Ad-Libs who recorded, “Boy from N.Y.C.Accompanied “Tomorrow’s Edition, they were background singers for Kool and the Gang at Club Zanzibar of Newark , N.J.My own group, Nu Sound Express Ltd., we performed at Civic Center , Baltimore , Md. , the Cheetah Club, New York City, 1971-1973. The Apollo theatre 1972. We recorded a song entitled, “Ain’t It Good enough and “One More Time? on the silver Dollar Record Label. Side musician with a local group called the Soul Dynamites, from Newark, N.J.Accompanied La Wanda Page, Leroy and Skillet comedy act at Club Ebony, Newark , N.J. and Crossover Inn, Trenton , N.J. , 1970. I played with a band in the Bronx , Randy was the front singer. He asked me to sell heroin, I said no, because I had children.
