MAJ Gill enlisted in the US Army Reserves in 1989 as a 94B (Food Service Specialist) in Livingston, Alabama, where she deployed with the 287th Transportation Company, in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. She was later commissioned in the US Army as a Transportation Corps Officer following graduation from the University of Alabama in 1994. Prior to her current assignment as the Battalion Executive Officer of the 302nd Brigade Support Battalion, she served as the Operations Officer of the 302nd Brigade Support Battalion. Previous command and staff positions which include Platoon Leader, 104th Transportation Company, Fort Benning, Georgia; Battalion Adjutant (S1), 13th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 36th Engineer Group, Fort Benning, Georgia; Battalion S4, 702nd Main Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; Commander, Bravo Company (Transportation Motor Transport), 702nd Main Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Nimble, Korea; Training with Industry (TWI) Officer at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Dallas, Texas; Operations Officer, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Fort Eustis, Virginia; Ground Logistics Officer and later Coordination Officer, Component Command – Land Headquarters (NATO) G4 Division, Madrid, Spain.

Her military education includes Basic Training, Advanced Individual Training (AIT), the Transportation Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, the Support Operations Course, the Air Deployment Planning Course and Intermediate Level Education (ILE) at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Major Gill holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ and a Masters Degree in Military Arts & Science from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Major Gill’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal (1 OLC), the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 stars, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Medal, the Overseas Service Medal (2 OLC) and the Saudi Arabia and Kuwait Liberation Medals.
