Glenda Clare, Ph.D., is a Research Associate at the Institute for Community Based Research at the National Development and Research Institutes (NDRI). She also provides counseling and private consultant services. A past employee of the Danya Institute, Dr. Clare served in
the dual roles of NIDA Liaison and Manager for the Center for HIV, Hepatitis and Addiction Technology and Transfer Center (CHHATT). During her tenure at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA), she replicated CASASTART (an award winning
evidence-based substance abuse prevention program) in three states. She has many years experience working on issues related to substance abuse prevention and treatment, fragile families, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, and the inter-relationship between addiction and public health concerns within faith based organizations, community based organizations, private non-profit organizations, medical institutions and local and state governmental agencies. She has worked with federal, state and local government, shared her expertise to monitor programs, and review and administer grants. An experienced toast master, Dr. Clare, has prepared and delivered presentations for local and state legislators, community meetings and professional conferences and training. Finally, Glenda Clare is an Associate Minister at Union Baptist Church.

I attended two HBCUs: Howard University and North Carolina Central University. My PhD is from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. I also attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC

I was able to graduate from H.S. while still in the 11th grade. I completed all requirements for graduation a year early.
