Yvonne Orr serves as Principal for YORR Consulting Group Incorporated. She has consulted numerous nonprofit organizations, political candidates, and church groups with strategic planning, fund development, nonprofit management, event planning, and youth leadership training. Her mission is to be the preemptive choice for nonprofits in need by providing excellent services that support nonprofits in their efforts to develop, implement, and evaluate plans for growth. Ms. Orr has been in the development, event planning, and nonprofit management industry for over fifteen years, and brings an extensive working knowledge of Chicago�s religious, philanthropic, and cultural art communities. As a facilitator, she has worked with various organizations from assisting in the design and implementation of a region-wide training of staff at the Chicago Park District to working with the City of Chicago to prepare and manage survivors of Hurricane Katrina relocating to the Chicagoland area. Orr conducts youth workshops utilizing poetry and journal writing to build self-esteem, and is a motivational speaker with clients served nationally. She has a B.A. in Political Science and an M.S. in Human Services Administration. Orr serves as Executive Director (volunteer) of Restoration of Community Outreach Ministries; is a member of the Governance Core for Deeply Rooted Productions; a founding board member of Collaborative Empowerment Organization; and as President of the Chicago Hampton Alumni Association. She has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals since 1998.

Current Whereabouts:

Own YORR Consulting Group. We handle fundraising/grant writing for nonprofits, nonprofit management, prospect research, major gift solicitation and business development for start-ups.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

Expand company, hire employees. Conduct webinars. Obtain my doctorate. See my children grow up with intelligence, common sense and faith rooted in their veins. ;-)
