As a current Inspirational Speaker and Encouraging Vocalist in the Hampton Roads area it is my passion to pour life into those who have been rejected. I have a deep-seated desire to minister/encourage the brokenhearted, emotionally distressed and forgotten. This desire stems from my experiences as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, abandonment & homelessness. These experiences have taught me that "people who hurt others have been hurt by someone else." (Meyer, 2003). In an effort to locate and minister to those who have experienced similar situations I have begun visiting shelters, nursing homes and assisted living facilities to minister in the form of song. I believe when one believes he/she is broken beyond repair it is music that can penetrate the depths of the person's brokenness and the seeds of restoration can begin to form.

When was the last time you gave back to your community?
Current Whereabouts:
I am a worship leader at my church. I sing at nursing homes, assisted living facilities and shelters.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I would like to facilitate group therapy sessions. It is my hope to help women who have been abused share their experiences and help one another through the healing process.

The day I walked across the stage...it was my best moment because I was homeless at the time...and it meant regardless of my situation...I was able to remain focused and graduate.
