We are all special. There is only one of each of us. My life is as God has decreed either through His Will or through the consequences of my own choices. I am a Blackamerican. I grew up in Richmond, Va. I had experienced the normalcy of a complete family upbringing (both parents in the home). I grew up in a Baptist church.

I experienced the hatred of old southern resistance and the hope of our nation's transition through civil rights (a continuing saga).

I went to elementary, junior & senior high school in Richmond. I completed both undergraduate & graduate degrees in North Carolina. During this period of my life, I adopted the Islamic way of life consciously, and have been a practicing Muslim since then.

I have been living and working in Saudi Arabia for over 30 years. Aside from earlier university level teaching, my career has mostly been in the airline industry and market.



And I love P-E-A-C-E.

Where have you been in your life and where do you expect to go forward?
Current Whereabouts:
Trying to learn to be content with what God has bestowed on me and use it in the best means possible.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I am married with adult children and grandchildren. I try to be grateful for what Allah has bestowed upon me and pray to improve in both life and spirit. I am at the point in my life where I am facing a number of crossroads. I am gratefully in pretty good health, and I think I am still sane in light of current world developments. At my age, I am more interested in variable term engagements and collaboration. The Internet allows for more flexible cross-border and remote collaboration. I would love to have conversations and participate in initiatives for such collaboration.

Claim To Fame:
None really . . . not a hero . . . or mover & shaker . . . but I tend to see if something can be done just a bit differently.
Most Memorable Moment:
My Senior Recital in May 1975. I played some easy Chopin, the primary part to a two-piano concerto and two original jazz idiom compositions accompanied by electric bass, drum & tenor sax. The 1974 Choir Tour - Went to Wisconsin - Indian - and other points . . . . saw my first real blinding blizzard. Working on organizing an "Afro American" Culture Festival in May 1972, I think.
