Why did you decide to join HBCUConnect.com?
"I am an advocate for literacy and the publisher of Gumbo for the Soul: The Recipe for Literacy in the Black Community. Our publication, released in 2007, addresses the high drop out rate amongst our high school youth. Our publicatons speaks to the community on forums of education, health and awareness. Our first book was endorsed by Tavis Smiley and gave resources to scholarships specifically designs for Blacks that are going to waste for lack of applicants.
